30. March 2020. Statement on rental payments

The allegation that DEICHMANN is refusing to pay rent in the current situation, to the detriment of other parties, is incorrect.

Because all of our stores have been ordered by the German government to close, it is no longer possible for us to pursue our business purpose there. In this wholly unprecedented situation, we have asked our landlords to defer rental payments accruing during the closure. The current and upcoming talks with our landlords focus on looking for joint solutions as to which partial payments we can make in the short term and how we intend to arrange the deferment of payments, depending on the scope and duration of closures.

ESSEN/BERLIN, 29th August 2019. Europe’s largest shoe retailer DEICHMANN held an exclusive premiere event of a different kind. Celebrities and influencers from all over Europe came together in Berlin to attend the launch of the “Rita Ora for DEICHMANN” collection. In addition to the lavishly staged collection presentation and a live acoustic performance by global superstar Rita Ora, the guests were able to take an exclusive look behind the scenes of the campaign #Radiate and photograph themselves in the original set. In addition, they were the first to hear Rita ask in the brand new DEICHMANN commercial, “How do you want to feel today”?

Rita Ora to become new DEICHMANN ambassador

Essen, March 2019. British singer-songwriter, Rita Ora, will be teaming up with German footwear retailer, DEICHMANN, to become the face of their new Autumn / Winter collection.

With Rita’s handpicked designs, the collection is destined to be youthful, di-verse, iconic and accessible. DEICHMANN’s design team have curated a collec-tion that is a genuine reflection of Rita’s creativity and distinctive sense of style.

The “Rita Ora for DEICHMANN” collection will be available in selected city stores in Germany, online and a number of European countries as from August 2019.

ESSEN/MUNICH. The second handbag collection by American sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s brand, KENDALL + KYLIE, will be available from March 2019, exclusively for DEICHMANN stores and at www.deichmann.com.

Following a very successful launch in autumn 2018, the collaboration between Europe’s biggest shoe retailer DEICHMANN and the brand from famous fashion influencers Kendall and Kylie Jenner is dropping its second collection in spring 2019.

12. October 2018. DEICHMANN SE paves the way for further international expansion
Shoe retailer enters into partnership with retail giant AZADEA Group on fur-ther development in the MENA region; first DEICHMANN franchise business opens in Dubai in 2019

Essen, 12. October 2018 – DEICHMANN SE is continuing its international growth on a new scale. The company plans to enter the market in the MENA region (Middle East & North Africa) in the next few years. In this spirit, the shoe retailer has entered into a long-term partnership with AZADEA Group. A premier lifestyle retail company that has been operating across the MENA for the past 40 years and currently operates over 50 leading interna-tional franchise concepts in fashion & accessories, food & beverage, home furnishings, sporting goods, multimedia, and beauty & cosmetics. The opening of the first store on the Arabian Peninsula under the DEICHMANN brand is scheduled for 2019 in Dubai.

“We are aiming for further growth and keen to open up new markets. Having opened stores in France and Belgium last year, we are now represented in al-most every country in Europe.
