ESSEN, March 2018. In 2017, the DEICHMANN Group sold 176.6 million pairs of shoes in its stores and online shops worldwide – over three million pairs more than in the previous year. In 25 European countries and in the USA, the group generated a gross turnover of 5.8 billion euros (net: 5 billion euros) in the past financial year – the highest in a company history spanning more than 100 years. The currency-adjusted turnover increase was 5.9 per cent. And the company was also able to generate like-for-like sales growth of 2.8 per cent. At the end of 2017, Europe’s largest shoe retailer was running a total of 3,989 branches and 36 online shops, employing a staff of 39,564. In 2017 the group successfully entered the market in another two countries: France and Belgium. For the current year, DEICHMANN is planning record-high investments: 245 million euros are being invested in the international infrastructure and further digitalisation, 102 million of which in Germany alone.Read more

ESSEN, 15 March 2017. The DEICHMANN Group recorded gross sales of €5.6 billion (€4.8 billion net) in the past financial year in 23 European countries and the USA, reaching the highest level of sales in the company’s history of over 100 years. The increase in sales revenues after adjustment for exchange rate effects is thus 5.6 percent. In 2016, the corporate group sold around 173 million pairs of shoes in its stores and online shops, which is about a million more pairs than in the previous year. At the end of 2016, Europe’s largest shoe retailer operated a total of 3,857 branches worldwide and employed a workforce of around 38,252 people. This means that the company created almost 1,000 new jobs in 2016. In the current year, DEICHMANN will invest some €232 million in the international infrastructure. In Germany, the corporate group grew clearly, bucking the industry trend, and will be investing around €92 million in 2017.Read more

ESSEN. The British singer Ellie Goulding is one of the few stars to compose their own songs and also perform perfectly on instruments such as guitar, drums and keyboard. She raced to the top of the charts with her contribution to the soundtrack of the blockbuster “50 Shades of Grey” and has been one of the most successful British solo artists in the past decade. Essen/Hochheim 30 September 2016. On 29 September 2016, the founder of Buffalo Boots GmbH, Mick Conradi, and the DEICHMANN group signed a purchase agreement for the acquisition of Buffalo. It is still subject to approval by the antitrust authorities. The purchase price was not disclosed.
More volume, easy chic and boho style
The fashion of spring and summer 2016 will be predominantly light and bright, and sporty styles will continue to play an important role. Shoe Fashion Trends Autumn/ Winter 2015/16
Classic, uncomplicated looks with a subtle twist
Simple geometric forms, an uncomplicated, more understated everyday look and androgynous-influenced styles are defining the clothing silhouettes for the autumn/winter 2015/16 season. Grey, black, midnight blue, brown, aubergine and dark green tones are the dominating colours. Accents are being set by delicate, and sometimes also vibrant raspberry tones and pastel nuances. Glittery, silver-coloured or metallic elements as well as hologram effects offer highlights.

In 23 European countries and the USA, the Group recorded gross sales in the past financial year of €4.9 billion (€4.2 billion net) – the highest ever in the over 100 years of the company’s history. The increase in sales revenues after adjustment for exchange rate effects is thus six percent. At the end of 2014, Europe’s largest shoe retailer operated a total of 3,600 branches worldwide and employed a workforce of around 36,150 people. This means that the company created 1,100 new jobs in 2014. In the current year, DEICHMANN will invest some €208 million in the international infrastructure, around €79 million of which will be invested in Germany. In Germany alone, around 350 new jobs will also be created in 2015.Read more
