Growth once again in 2016, bucking the industry trend / Plan to enter the French and Belgian market in 2017 / 262 new stores to open worldwide / Start of the Ellie Goulding Collection in London

ESSEN, 15 March 2017. The DEICHMANN Group recorded gross sales of €5.6 billion (€4.8 billion net) in the past financial year in 23 European countries and the USA, reaching the highest level of sales in the company’s history of over 100 years. The increase in sales revenues after adjustment for exchange rate effects is thus 5.6 percent. In 2016, the corporate group sold around 173 million pairs of shoes in its stores and online shops, which is about a million more pairs than in the previous year. At the end of 2016, Europe’s largest shoe retailer operated a total of 3,857 branches worldwide and employed a workforce of around 38,252 people. This means that the company created almost 1,000 new jobs in 2016. In the current year, DEICHMANN will invest some €232 million in the international infrastructure. In Germany, the corporate group grew clearly, bucking the industry trend, and will be investing around €92 million in 2017.

ESSEN/LONDON, 1 March 2017. Europe’s biggest shoe retailer, DEICHMANN, and British singer Ellie Goulding invited guests to London last night for the exclusive presentation of their first joint shoe collection. In the trendy MC Motors venue, a selected group of international journalists, bloggers and VIPs were shown the new “Ellie Goulding for DEICHMANN” collection in a fashion show, and were also able to take part in a live acoustic performance by the star singer-songwriter.

ESSEN. The British singer Ellie Goulding is one of the few stars to compose their own songs and also perform perfectly on instruments such as guitar, drums and keyboard. She raced to the top of the charts with her contribution to the soundtrack of the blockbuster “50 Shades of Grey” and has been one of the most successful British solo artists in the past decade. With the Star Collection, her first shoe collection, in association with Europe’s largest shoe retailer DEICHMANN, she will also be rocking the shoe world from 1 March 2017.

Even if it doesn’t feel like it, next summer is never very far away. And of course DEICHMANN is always ahead of the crowd in knowing which shoes we’ll be wearing in the coming season.

This time it will be comfortable wedges, summery espadrilles, light-as-a-feather sneakers or boho-style sandals. 30. September 2016. DEICHMANN-Group acquires Buffalo Boots


Essen/Hochheim 30 September 2016. On 29 September 2016, the founder of Buffalo Boots GmbH, Mick Conradi, and the DEICHMANN group signed a purchase agreement for the acquisition of Buffalo. It is still subject to approval by the antitrust authorities. The purchase price was not disclosed.

DEICHMANN sales revenue grows by 6 percent in 2014

172 million pairs of shoes sold worldwide / Sales revenues in Germany reach two billion euros for the first time / Omni-channel strategy to be developed further

ESSEN, 17 February 2015. The DEICHMANN Group sold around 172 million pairs of shoes in 2014 – five million more than in the previous year. In 23 European countries and the USA, the Group recorded gross sales in the past financial year of €4.9 billion (€4.2 billion net) – the highest ever in the over 100 years of the company’s history. The increase in sales revenues after adjustment for exchange rate effects is thus six percent. At the end of 2014, Europe’s largest shoe retailer operated a total of 3,600 branches worldwide and employed a workforce of around 36,150 people. This means that the company created 1,100 new jobs in 2014. In the current year, DEICHMANN will invest some €208 million in the international infrastructure, around €79 million of which will be invested in Germany. In Germany alone, around 350 new jobs will also be created in 2015.

Lightness and sophisticated chic in light tones


Airy, light and casual are three words to describe the fashion of spring and summer 2015. Tops and dresses gently caress the figure with flowing fabrics. Wide-cut, cropped trousers – so-called culottes – and tight shorts are just as suitable for summer as wrap skirts in mini or midi. This season’s fashion favourite is the jumpsuit, which already caused a sensation back in the 70s and 80s. Even if black is still playing an important role, this season will be mainly defined by light and pastel colours. On-trend colours are white and white-similar colours, pink and champagne tones, light blue, mint, apricot and beige and nude.
