… is an expression of the Christian values to which the Deichmann family is committed. This includes financing charitable, social and humanitarian projects as well as supporting education, art, culture, science, research and healthcare. This is how the DEICHMANN Foundation reaches people and institutions worldwide.
You can find out more about the foundation and how to donate on the DEICHMANN Foundation’s own website.
The commitment of the DEICHMANN Foundation …
… provides support in the long term and in acute crises:
… saves lives: Thanks to the foundation’s commitment, the Happy Kids organization was able to evacuate more than 750 Ukrainian orphans to Poland and provide them with food, clothing and medicine.
… helps people to help themselves: In Uganda, the foundation and the Social Innovation Academy are helping disadvantaged young people and refugees to set up businesses.
… protects women: The foundation helps the International Justice Mission to curb violence against women and children and strengthen legal systems.
… makes studying possible: Since 2010, the foundation has financed 50 educational scholarships at the University of Duisburg-Essen every year.
… combats hunger: In order to eliminate the cause of hunger in Kenya, the foundation is participating in a project of the organisation “Welthungerhilfe” and the magazine “Stern” in Kenya.
… promotes culture: the JeKits program provides instruments for 68 special and elementary schools in Essen to introduce children to music. The foundation supports this idea.
… liberated from poverty: In Haiti, Opportunity International is able to accompany people out of absolute poverty because the DEICHMANN Foundation co-finances a substantial part of the project.
… helps in crises: After the floods in the Ahr valley, the foundation financed 140 construction dryers for use by the German Red Cross in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.
