Supervisor

Joining Deichmann as a Supervisor is a valuable, career-building experience, providing opportunities for leading a team and gaining further skills.

Our Supervisors champion customer service and are skilled at promoting and merchandising our products. They lead by example, supporting their Store Manager in building and developing a team who are the best they can be and who deliver an all-round shopping experience for the customer.

Previous supervisory experience gained in a retail setting or similar is essential, as your role will include running the store in the absence of the manager. In return for which, we can offer opportunities for progression to Store manager and beyond.

Trainee Manager

Joining Deichmann as a Trainee Manager is the first step on our managerial ladder.

After initial training and being flexible to travel, you will continue to learn whilst providing managerial cover in stores across a defined geographical area and supporting new store openings across the UK.

Having previous supervisory/team leading experience gained in a retail or related sector you will be able to problem solve, think on your feet, have the ability to plan and co-ordinate resources. Above all you will be a people person who is passionate about all things retail particularly customer service and relish the prospect of learning new skills.

On successful completion of training, Trainee Managers are ideally positioned to take the opportunity to progress their careers as Store Managers.

Cover Manager

Our Cover Managers are our fast track, high potential managerial talent!

Having managerial skills and experience gained in a smaller operation or different type of retail setting, after initial training, Cover Managers build their understanding of Deichmann by providing managerial cover across a cluster of stores. It’s therefore essential they are able to travel within a defined geographical area. Our ideal Cover Managers are likely to have been Store Managers or Deputy Store Managers who are looking to progress to the next level with a global market leader.

On succesful completion of training, Cover Managers are in an ideal position to be given the opportunity for promotion to Store Manager.

Store Manager

Our Store Managers are our true brand ambassadors. They think and act commercially, championing their team to be successful.

They are the crucial link between our senior leadership and the store team for driving productivity and delivering a positive, inspiring culture, which defines the “face” of Deichmann to our customers.

Store Managers at Deichmann are ‘hands on’ leaders, operations experts and masters of product promotion who train and develop their team to be the best they can be, enabling the commercial success of the store and creating an all-round shopping experience that delights customers.

District Manager

District Managers have their own store and a small cluster of stores to manage. They are experienced successful Store Managers , who excel at offering first class customer service, delivering a positive, inspiring culture, which defines the “face” of Deichmann to our customers.

Leading by example they build, train and develop teams of colleagues to be the best they can be, enabling the commercial success of multiple stores and creating an all-round shopping experience that delights customers.

Their range of responsibilities encompasses everything from ensuring company standards, including customer service, merchandising, performance management and HR.

District Managers who excel tend to have been promoted from within and have opportunities such as Regional Manager ahead of them.
