The approximately 50,000 employees of the DEICHMANN Group are the driving force behind the company's success, writing new chapters in a very special success story every day.

The company history of DEICHMANN is characterised by growth achieved through its own efforts, without an IPO or loans. By 2025, DEICHMANN will have sold around 180 million pairs of shoes in a total of approximately 4,700 stores worldwide.

In addition to expanding its market position in Germany, the company is pushing ahead with international expansion. Heinrich Deichmann is continuing his father's growth strategy, who expanded abroad by acquiring companies, by growing organically in more and more countries with his own companies under the DEICHMANN name.

DEICHMANN is now active in 36 countries worldwide and employs around 50,000 people.

Germany

In Germany, DEICHMANN SE has around 16,000 employees in 1,300 stores (as of 31 December 2025) as well as in administration and in several central warehouses for the distribution of shoes (distribution centres). Business in Germany accounts for around 32 per cent of the Group's turnover and amounts to around 2.7 billion euros.

More than 66 million pairs of shoes were sold over the counter at DEICHMANN Group stores in Germany or online in 2025.
