With the construction of its new campus at its headquarters in Essen, DEICHMANN is sending a clear signal for forward-looking working environments and sustainable corporate management. The open architecture promotes cross-departmental collaboration and creates inspiring spaces for innovation and exchange. Flexible open-plan spaces, modern team and conference areas, and quiet zones for concentrated work offer optimal conditions for the approximately 1,500 employees at the site.
Architect Volkwin Marg (gmp): ‘As the address of the growing DEICHMANN campus, the new headquarters signals openness, transparency and quality of life both externally and internally.’
Special attention was paid to the integration of ecological technologies in the campus expansion: over 60 geothermal boreholes, together with a large-scale photovoltaic system and extensive green roofing, ensure a resource-saving energy supply and a pleasant indoor climate. Generous green spaces with a park-like character and the preservation of the old tree population enhance the campus grounds.
